On December 29, Sam Derding found a NORTHERN PINTAIL in the Columbia Park
duck pond and a GREATER YELLOWLEGS near Clover Island.

The following day, Ron and Carole Louderback saw at least 14 VARIED
THRUSHES in Madame Dorian Park and 3 OLDSQUAWS near the grain elevator
above McNary Dam. On December 31, Carole reported a RED-BREAT4ED NUTHATCH
at her feeder.

Also on December 31, Phil Bartley observed an immature PEREGRINE FALCON
along the main Hanford road near the FFTF (Fast Flux Test Facility), his
second sighting of the bird within a week.

Again on December 31, Carl and Nita Higby discovered 4 TRUMPETER SWANS, a
pair of adults with 2 young, on a small pond just east of the Willowbrook.
subdivision in south Richland. Bill and Nancy LaFramboise found that the
swan had moved January 1 to a pond a little further south and accessed via
a gravel road across Leslie Road from Rachel Road.

Also on January 1, my wife (Pat) and I (Bob Woodley) determined that the 2
BROWN CREEPERS, reported on December 16, remained in Groves Park (Richland).

On January 3, a HARRIS' SPARROW, first reported by Ruth Fischer on December
20, returned to her feeder but hasn't been seen again.

The following day, Ruth Fischer found 2 adult BALD EAGLES and 13 DUNLIN on
the Yakima Delta.

Lastly, on January 7, I found a COMMON SNIPE near Clover Island but not the
Greater Yellowlegs. While on the Yakima Delta I saw an adult WESTERN GULL
among the more common gulls.

To report your own sightings, please give your name, phone number and
sightings after the tone. Thank you.
