Being home sick these past few days with strept throat, I have had the chance
to stare outside for long periods of time at birds. But until today, there
were none. Today, when I looked out my kitchen window, it was a beautiful
sight. My suet feeder was covered with about twenty BUSHTITS, my peanut-
covered pinecone served as a delicious snack to two RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES
and a few CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES, and my new feeder which I got for my Mom
(and thought was the reason no birds had been to my feeder since Christmas)
hosted a few more chestnuts and a few BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES. All regulars
to my feeder, but a delight to see after such a long time!
