Jus got back from 2 hours at the 6 Mile Cypress Slough. It is a very good
area in east Fort Myers with a 1-1/2 mile boardwalk. Saw 15 species, with
7 new birds for this trip and 43 total. The new birds for this trip were
as follows: White Ibis - there was a flock of about 20 that flew into a
small 1-2 acre pond and landed in trees and shrubs around the pond. They
covered all plumages. Also had one pond with WHIB, Great Blue Heron,
Tricolored Heron and Great Egret. Anhinga Carolina Wren - very noisy
"tea-kettle, tea-kettle, tea-kettle" Yellow-crowned Night-Heron - both
adult and immature Red-bellied Woodpecker Snowy Egret Turkey Vulture

Now off to the ABA convention in an hour.
