When we're talking about large woodpeckers, what is generally considered
to be now the world's largest? One book I have suggests the Eurasian
Black as being at least as big as the Ivory-Billed. I saw a "Schwartz" in
Germany a few years ago, and it did seem quite large--although if larger
than our Pileated, I couldn't be certain.
