Last year we had a Chickadee coming to our suet feeder. This bird had
only one leg. I suppose there are a number of ways a bird can loose a
leg. The suet feeder is one where the birds have to hang upside down
while feeding. Well this little guy managed very well. He could hang
on with one leg, seemingly as well as with two. He wasn't
intimidated by the other birds at all. Usually the Nuthatches drive
the othe birds away. Not this little guy. He was around here all
winter long. I haven't seen him since about last April I guess.
