Tweets,

I've got the chance to visit some friends in southeast Texas the end of
February/beginning of March and wonder if any of you have any suggestions on
any "don't miss" places to visit, given time.

Here's my itinerary: Fly into San Antonio Saturday 2/27. Drive to McAllen 3/1
for a few days, then up to the Corpus Christi area for a couple more days &
back to San Antonio for my return flight Sunday 3/7. My friends are not
birders but know I will spend at least some (most of my) time birding and
there are looking for friends who may be able to "tell me where to go". ;-}.

I've got Peterson's Guide to the Birds of Texas, and am ordering ABA's A
Birder's Guide to the Rio Grande Valley and A Birder's Guide to the Texas
Coast to help me find my way around.

I had hoped to make this trip in Mid-April, but my friends are now retired (I
hate them for that) and will start their traveling the 15th of April. Oh well,
go when you get the chance.

Thanks in advance for your help.
