Hello Tweeters,
After not going so early again, i missed a good sighting of an ICELAND GULL
yesterday. But i was so tired from driving over to Leavenworth on Saturday
4.00 AM in the morning, i could not due this again. And realy there was
going for the Sky-Lark which i saw many times earlier.I could not wait to
ths morning to go on the road again hoping this Gull wouls show for me. As
Patrick mention there saw this Gull so close.
It was raining buckets this morning, even Sequim had rain early on.Whe i
got to the location all the Gulls was in the air, it was 8.30AM.A Peregine
Falcon stiring all the many Wigeon and Dunlin up in to the air. I got a
quick look at the ICELAND Gull in flight and could see the differance from
the other ''Olympic Gulls. There flew off direction Cline Spit. I follow in
pursuet direction Cline Spit what is one street over. But i could not find
any of this Gulls. There had to fly across to Dungeness Spit. The location
where the Iceland Gull was sighted is the same as where the Sky-Lark was
found only across the street where all the Wigeon are including 4 Eurasian.
After not finding the ICELAND GULL back, i start looking for the Sky-Lark
and found this Bird in less than 5 minutes. I pursuet this bird three
times, came each time real close where he flew of again. The Sky-Lark is
not in the front field at all, ( because of the Northern Shrike what is a
constand fright). The bird is the next field over, and sometime in tall
GrasS
The location is East Anderson and Clarks Rd
