Hi,
A good place to look for binoculars are pawn shops. I picked up a good pair of 8x50's a
couple of years ago, at about a third the regular store price. Check them out good before you
buy. I keep going back, hoping I'll find a pair of image stabilizers but I wont hold my breath.
Yesterday was good day at Reifel Sanctuary for owls. Saw one long earred (there are
supposed to be eight in the area), 5 northern saw-whets, and a great horned. There was a
gyrfalcon at the entrance.
