I don't know if this is worth reporting, but for
two of the last three days, I've watched a ("The"?)
red-breasted sapsucker in the same pine tree near the
NW corner of Green Lake. There are lots of vertical
lines of holes, and the crowds don't seem to bother
him. It is to be found in a pine tree along the
north edge of the path just south of the north
tennis courts. This tree is just to the east of
the southernmost two trees in the bit of land
between the courts and the path. The holes make
it a dead giveaway, at about 12 feet (?).
