Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, 1:23 p.m. Jan Bragg, 206-524-3460. A
SHORT-EARED OWL was again seen on the NOAA property in
Seattle late yesterday afternoon. Pedestrian access from
Magnuson Park is open now, but they're still checking ID if you
try to drive through the main gate.

Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, 5:48 p.m. This is Alan Grenon at
329-6005, just reporting that many birders who were in
Leavenworth today to see the RUSTIC BUNTING, which did
put in some appearances, it's not there consistently all the time,
and remember, you must call ahead to get permission to visit.

Saturday, Jan. 16, 11:29 a.m. This is Barry Levine,
206-526-8676, reporting on a trip taken by Kate Tillotson and
Jonah Levine, up from Portland, Ore. to see the RUSTIC
BUNTING in Leavenworth. The bunting's been seen on and off
this morning. We'd like to thank Connie for her graciousness in
hosting all the birders who have been through there. There were
quite a few birders this morning, including Ruth Sullivan was
there and Vickie, and I'm sorry, I don't know Vickie's last
name. Good luck and good birding.
