Thank-you to all Tweeters who graciously provided assistance with my =
recent visit to Seattle and coastal Washington. Total species for the =
trip was 94, including 6 lifers.

Wednesday, 9 December 1998
Edmonds-Kingston ferry, Port Gamble, Hood bridge, Diamond Point, John =
Wayne Marina, Port Angeles and Ediz Hook.
Lifers(in order)- Red-necked Grebe, Glaucous-winged Gull, Harlequin =
Duck(ABA#600), Barrow's Goldeneye, Rhinoceros Auklet. Missed =
Yellow-billed Loon at John Wayne Marina and Emperor Goose at Olympic =
Game Farm.

Thursday, 10 December
Seattle, Green Lake, Discovery Park, West Point lighthouse, downtown, =
Alki Point.
Many good birds, including all life birds from previous day, but no new =
birds.

Friday, 11 December
Ocean Shores, Point Brown jetty, Columbia River east of Vancouver.
Dipped out on Rock Sandpiper at the jetty(unfavorable weather) and =
Tufted Duck at Bingen(arrived too late, poor light). I tried too much =
in one day!

Saturday, 12 December
Whidbey Island, Samish and Skagit Flats, Fir Island.
Lifer Trumpeter Swan at Samish Flats.

Except for what happened Friday, which was my own fault, I feel that my =
four days were very well-spent and successful. Thanks again to everyone =
who helped me, and feel free to e-mail me for assistance with Texas =
birding.
