Saturday (Jan 23rd) while visiting the Whitcomb
Unit of the Umatilla Wildlife Refuge on the
Columbia River in southcentral WA, I saw and
filmed a pair of unfamiliar ducks that I have not
been able to identify using various identification
books. I would greatly appreciate help from the
experts ( or non experts) among this group.
Fortunately the pair came close enough to get
reasonably close video shots using a 5x
teleconverter. The four images (3 male and 1
female) which are posted at

the details with reasonable accuracy.
