A well described GRYFALCON was reported from Brownsmead yesterday (1/23).
This is probably the same bird that has been seen intermittently in the
area since mid-December.

The "Eurasian" GREEN-WINGED TEAL can still be found along Jackson Rd at
Brownsmead. A WHITE-TAILED KITE is hanging out near the bridge on
Pentilla Rd and two WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS were in the Zono flock near
the dairy barn there.

Loon number on Bind Slough have dropped off considerably in the last
couple of weeks 6 RED-THROATED LOONS, 5 COMMONS and a single PACIFIC
LOON were there today along with 16 WESTERN GREBES, 2 HORNED GREBES and
5 PIED-BILLS.

An OLDSQUAW was with BUFFLEHEAD on Trestle Bay on Saturday. About 5000 DUNLIN
were on the exposed sand near low tide there. The beach from Sunset access to
Del Rey produced about 700 SANDERLINGS, 150 DUNLIN and 2 WESTERN SANDPIPERS.
Dead wash-ups included a COMMON LOON, 2 WESTERN GREBES and a BLACK-LEGGED
KITTIWAKE.
