I conducted the monthly census at the Steigerwald Lake Refuge in Clark
County, WA, Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999. Among the birds seen were 9 TUNDRA
SWANS, 19 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, 4 CINNAMON TEAL, 2 BARN OWLS, and
a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE. The shrike was reported to me about two weeks ago
and I finally relocated it today. An earlier reported SNOW GOOSE is still
present and being seen there from the highway.
