One of those "others" is to be aware that in many state and national parks
it is illegal to use tapes at all to attract birds. People have been cited
for having recording equipment with them even though they maintained that
they used them only to record, never to play back in the wild. But as far
as the rangers were concerned recording equipment can also be used for play
back.
