A week and a half after April the Peregrine, Tacoma's resident female,
died on New Year's weekend, a new juvenile female arrived on the scene
and stayed till at least last Friday (1/22).

Yesterday, yet another new female showed up--"Sash," an adult with a
peculiar and distinctive mark. She sports a wide, dark scorched-brown
sash-like mark that runs diagonally from her right shoulder almost to her
left flank.

When I spotted her yesterday on the 11th street bridge, she was crowding
around the resident male and his freshly caught dinner. They vocalized
only a little as I walked their way. Then she flew to a nearby perch.

Today during the noon hour, she was still in town--sitting on the west
end of the bridge not too far from the male.

Have any of you northward Tweeters or Falcon Research Group folks seen
Sash before? (I haven't yet gotten a good enough look at her feet to see
whether she's banded or not.
