Tweets,

saw what may have been a YBLO today. The bill of the bird appeared to be
lighter colored than that of a common loon seen at about the same time, and
the bill was held in a noticably upturned manner. I did not notice a post
occular spot. I recall someone last year (Michael Price, perhaps?)
discussing the finer points of YBLO identification, but I didn't save them.
If someone else did, and wouldn't mind forwarding them to me, Iwould
appreciate it.

The bird was seen from French Loop Rd., near Butler Cove, in Budd Inlet. I
don't know of any public access in the area, unfortunately. This is,
however, almost directly across the Inlet from Priest Point Park, where
YBLO was seen last year. Perhaps those interested could check from there,
and also from the radio station at the Port, where last year's bird was
also seen.
