Public Help Needed For
WDFW Education Plan

OLYMPIA: The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is seeking the public's help in developing a plan to educate citizens about a variety of fish and wildlife issues.

Help is sought in two areas.

The first is to get public comment on the draft 51-page education plan. A
copy of the plan, as well as an electronic input form for comments and
responses, is on the department's Web page at
http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/outreach/educaton/eduplan/edinput.htm
(The word "education" is spelled without the "i".)

In addition, WDFW is seeking information from the public on the kinds of
fish and wildlife-related issues people deal with on a daily basis. This
information is being collected on an "Issue Input Form" also available from
the address above.

The "Issue Input Form" asks for public comment on the kinds of issues WDFW
should be addressing in its education efforts, what groups should be
targeted and the kinds of results people want.

A person may submit as many comment forms as he or she wishes.
The comment period for the education plan ends Feb. 5.
