I think so. Last Sunday, The Oregonian ran an article on sandhill crane
concentrations in Colorado (spring migration).
Since you're discussing raptors, I was just out running an errand and
a brown bullet flashed across the road about fifty feet in front and
twenty feet up. Got another millisecond look at it receeding east
at a humpin' fast speed - merlin! A not uncommon, but cheering,
sighting of one of my favorite raptors in my favorite city, Portland.
For those of you who haven't twitched the brambling yet, never fear,
this was about five miles away from its Sellwood neighborhood haunts :)
