Back at the beginning of the year, we learned how to buy a Stewardship
Decal, which is needed for parking at over 600 state accesses to wildlife
areas. (See the messages below about the new decal). I'm going on a
birding field trip this weekend to the Skagit area, and was told to buy the
decal. Yesterday I purchased a fishing licence which is only good until
3/31/99 for $6., but w/ the fishing license I received the stewardship
decal which is good until the year 2000.
The problem w/ the decal is it's not a decal, it's a sticker. There is no
place on it to write my vehicle license no. If I stick it to the outside
of my car rear window, someone could remove it and stick it on their car.
I'm thinking of doing the following:
Cut out the sticker leaving the backing paper on it. Tape w/ clear tape to
the INSIDE of my car's back window so that it is facing out.
Is this legal? How have other people solved this problem?
