Birders,
We spent most of the day in Walla Walla County. Very windy early.
Best bird was a HARRIS' SPARROW at McNary NWR in the HQ yard.
Also a couple of LINCOLN'S SPARROWS on the nearby trail.
A maybe 80% pure WESTERN GULL was on the refuge. (nice white head, but the
mantle was not very dark.)
Since Killing Season is finally over, thousands of waterfowl are on the
Walla Walla River delta. 90% Mallards; rest Wigeon, Green-wg Teal &
Pintail. Also there were 8 WHITE PELICANS & 3 BALD EAGLES.

Best find of the day was the Denny's. Mike & MerryLynn also saw these
birds.
