They might feel bad about our evolutionary success thus
far, but that wouldn't change the fact that in evolutionary
terms are species has been a success.

Whether we later become a victim of our own success, and
therefore are really evolutionary losers on the long-term
scale, is yet to be determined. We're a very young species,
after all.
