update.

The Rare Bird Alert continues for the LITTLE GULL and AMERICAN WHITE
PELICANS.

Sightings for Friday, July 2nd

The LITTLE GULL was again present on Iona Bay near the dirt mound.

The AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was again reported from the Robert's Bank Jetty
on a concrete pillar close to a cormorant colony.

Thursday, July 1st

The LITTLE GULL was reported from Iona Bay.

Two AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS were observed in Moody Arm. The were seen near
Reed Point Marina then later off the pier at Rocky Point Park in Port
Moody. It is highly likely there are 3 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS in the
area. A point of interest to anyone going to locate these 2 birds. The
City of Port Moody is in the middle of their annual Golden Spike Days which
has forced some street closures and limited the parking in some areas.

Wednesday, June 30th

The 2 American White Pelicans were seen in Port Moody off Rocky Point Park.

Tuesday, June 29

A VESPER SPARROW was seen at the 3800 block of Cambridge Street in
Burnaby.

3 WESTERN and 2 EASTERN KINGBIRDS were all in the same small dead tree in
the west meadow of Maplewood Mud Flats in North Vancouver.

50 BLACK SWIFTS were over 100th Avenue and 144th Street in Surrey.

Monday, June 28

An AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was observed in the afternoon off the coal port
jetty on a concrete pillar close to a cormorant colony. An OSPREY was also
in the area.

The LITTLE GULL was again seen at Iona Bay.
