Greetings Tweeters,

My partner and I, keen birders from the other side of the pond, will be in
Washington for the second half of August to do some serious birding. We will
be staying with our friend Steve Pink, and will be birding with him and
others, mainly I think Steve Mlodinow and Jim Flynn. The purpose of this RFI
is to ask, beg, grovel, more localised information about certain 'difficult'
species. By now I suppose you can guess the list that will follow, but any
information that you can provide will be very gratefully received. If I can
reciprocate in any way, at any time, regarding birding over here then please
drop me a line. We are situated near London Heathrow and are always willing
to take visiting birders out, work permitting! :-(

Finally if any of you are going to be on the Westport Pelagic on the 21st
August then say hello, we'll be on board to.

OK, here's the list, please reply privately with any info.

Spruce Grouse
Blue Grouse
White-tailed Ptarmigan
Ruffed Grouse
Sharp-tailed Grouse
Flammulated Owl
Western Screech-Owl
Spotted Owl (I know I'm pushing my luck at this point!)
Boreal Owl
Northern Saw-whet Owl
Red-naped Sapsucker
Three-toed Woodpecker
Black-backed Woodpecker
Pileated Woodpecker

Again, many thanks in advance.
