I spent my Fourth on the Tacoma waterfront, pouring beer for the
Snoqualmie Falls Brewery at the Washington Brewer's Festival. Did I pour
for any of you? :)

But - the birdy part of this was, that all afternoon, crows were "hawking"
large insects out of the tops of the trees above us. Every once in a
while, I'd catch sight of one of them from the corner of my eye, and could
even see the insects they were going after - big things! Real big - even
at 45 to 50 feet up (they were on a hillside above me) the insect was big.
No idea what it was.

I've never seen crows doing this in a group for an extended period of
time. It was quite a sight, and even unnerved a few brewers.
