Hi Kelly and Tweets,

No vulture migration yet . . . young are just fledging in many areas so
it's usually not til late August when there's some shuffling about.
Migration gets under way in earnest in mid-September and goes well into
October. Vultures are some of the last raptorial migrants through the
Texas area and seem to still be pouring out of Ontario and past the midwest
hawkwatches in October. Maybe the eight you saw were 'singles' out hunting
for something new and different than road kill!
