Dear Tweeters,
In following the post from Wayne Weber regarding the
Chipping Sparrows, from July 08,1999. I live in Nanaimo B.C. which is on
the east side of Vancouver Island. I and my wife have lived here for two
years and this is the first year that I have seen chipping sparrows in
our area, which may not be unusual, then again!
All this week I have been birding at Mcgreagor Marsh, which
is across Rutherford Road from were we live in North Nanaimo. It's a
large undeveloped area, a really good birding area. Every day I have
seen the chipping sparrows in about the same place, roughly about six of
the chippers are playing in the tree's . So my question are Chipping
Sparrows common on Vancouver Island? Also I see Blacked Grosebeck's,
warbling Vireos as well as Wilson Warblers and Orange crowned Warblers.
Thank's Neil, Neil_R0bins at bc.sympatico.ca
