returning to the nest for feeding throughout the day. A third fledged on
the third day, flying back to the nest repeatedly. The last two fledged
on 5th day, not returning. I have never observed this before. This
particular nest box has been used for 7 years & is on my deck, so
observation is easy. Have you observed the return of Tree Swallows to

We have had the same experience with tree swallows, which fledged yesterday
afternoon, and after a short flight, came back to the box for the night.
They were there this morning and then flew off again. It will be
interesting to see if they return again this evening.
