Hi Tweets -

Eleven people went on a Seattle Audubon trip to the Swauk Pass area
today. We started near the intersection of the Teanaway and Yakima
rivers with a good mix of passerines (Yellow Warbler, Common
Yellowthroat, Black-headed Grosbeak, Gray Catbird), wonderful looks at
singing Veery, and a hen Wood Duck with 4 young. On Hidden Valley Road
we had both Eastern Kingbird (dive bombing a Red-tailed Hawk) and
Western Kingbird, Band-tailed Pigeons, several Vesper Sparrows, a pair
of American Kestrels, a single Western Bluebird, a Western Meadowlark
and two Spotted Sandpipers on a gravel road.

We worked our way up thru Liberty picking up Nashville Warbler,
MacGillivray's Warbler, several Yellow Warblers, Western Wood Pewee,
Swainson's Thrush and Warbling Vireo. Then up FR 9712 eventually onto
Table Mountain. We had at various spots Common Raven, Turkey Vulture,
Red-tailed Hawk, Cooper's Hawk, Rock Dove, Mourning Dove, Western Wood
Pewee, a probable Hammond's Flycatcher, a Pacific-slope Flycatcher,
Stellars' and Gray Jays, Black-capped, Chestnut-backed and Mountain
Chickadees, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Townsend's Solitaire, Hermit Thrush,
Yellow-rumped (Audubon's) and Townsend's Warblers, Western Tanager,
Chipping Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow, Lazuli Bunting, Purple and Cassin's
Finches.

A great day, warm but nice weather, nice views and cooperative birds - a
