Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, Oregon is an easy way to see them. They nest
there in plain view of the beach. It is an easy walk from the parking
areas. You will need to hurry -- they leave when they are done nesting in
mid-July. You can see them with just binos, but take your scope if you have
one. You can get great looks.

Other than at zoos and aquariums, I've never seen a puffin, and I'd
like to do something about that. Any recommendations about time
and place (both with and without some sort of boat trip involvement)
would be greatly appreciated.
