Subject: Latex and birding! or Something to keep in mind when bying new

This is not only a problem with Swarovsky binoculars. My wife Irma has had
problems with Baush & Lomb and Zeiss rubber eye cups on their expensive
models. She would break out every time we went birding. Ending up with
raccoon eyes.

This must be a more than one would expect problem, because Zeiss sells
ceramic eye cups to replace the rubber ones. Not inexpensive, but the
problem solved for Irma.
