A male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was at Indian Ford Campground July 13.
Another was seen July 10 along Highway 395 seven and a half miles south
of John Day.

The BAR-TAILED GODWIT at Tillamook Bay was last seen July 9.

The fall migration of adult shorebirds is now well underway. SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPERS were seen during the week at Coos Bay, Tillamook Bay, and at
the South Jetty of the Columbia River. A flock of 60 SURFBIRDS was at
Seal Rocks State Park July 10. An AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER was at Sand Lake
July 13.

COMMON MURRES, BROWN PELICANS, and HEERMANN'S GULLS are now moving
northward in good numbers. A subadult FRANKLIN'S GULL was on Clatsop
Beach July 8.

On July 8 two BLACK TERNS and two BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were at Baskett
Slough NWR. A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was at Philomath July 10. On July 12 a
BREWER'S SPARROW was in a large meadow in the Klamath Mountains 18 miles
west of Grant's Pass.

A CLARK'S GREBE is now with the WESTERN GREBES on Ochoco Lake, east of
Prineville. A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was at the town of Paulina last
week-end. On July 9 a SPOTTED OWL was heard calling on Pelican Butte,
north of Klamath falls. UPLAND SANDPIPERS are still being seen near the
fork at the end of Scotty Creek Road north of Seneca.

Last week-end a pair of BARRED OWLS and a female BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD
