It is a little easier than that.

Go to the airport, park in short term parking, walk toward the
airport building then follow the sidewalk to the left (west)
past the front of the building, along the fence, to the small
picnic area.

Skylarks are also often in the grassy field outside the fence,
to the south of the fence. They will just be lurking in the
grass but might occasionally fly up and do a little singing.
