Hi Tweets:

Sunday July 18 I was birding at the Bob Heirman Wildlife Area, south
Snohomish County. While walking in the riverbed of the Snohomish River, I
came upon a Spotted Sandpiper with 4 chicks, 4 very tiny chicks. The adult
settled down with all 4 little ones under its wings. After about 5 minutes,
one of the chicks snuck out. The parent appeared uneasy, teetering while
still sitting on the ground with the remaining 3 chicks. Finally, everybody
got up and followed after the adventurous chick. The littles ones also
teetered, ever so slightly. A delightful birding moment.

Also saw a Song Sparrow feeding a cowbird.
