Columbia Estuary Report - 7/18/1999

Todd Thornton and I climbed Saddle Mt on Friday. It was cold and quiet
and socked in. A possible HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER was on the trail about
3/4mi up. There were no hummingbirds even though there were plenty
of wildflowers still in bloom. Most of the interesting stuff was in the
parking lot including a funny sounding MacGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER.

About 250 RING-BILLED GULLS nested on Miller Sands this summer and
they are just being to fledge youngsters.
