I switched to Contact Lenses about 25 years ago because of the
difficulty with wearing glasses and using binoculars and spotting scopes.
Also I got tired of the rain on my "windshield" without any wipers. I
still have to use reading glasses with contacts as I am also over 50.
Lasik would free me of putting in and taking out lenses or the
possibility of losing one again, did that once in the Yukon, and found it
helpful to be carrying spares.
