On July 15 an adult RED-NECKED STINT in full breeding plumage was among a

PECTORAL SANDPIPER was at the North Spit efluent pond July 17.

The first large flocks of PACIFIC LOONS and SURF SCOTERS appeared on the

offshore. A MOCKINGBIRD was at Bandon July 17, and a RED PHALAROPE was
off Boiler Bay July 16.

An albino swallow was at Baskett Slough NWR near Salem July 16. That day
a SANDERLING, 4 GREAT EGRETS, and an adult NIGHT-HERON were on the
refuge. A juvenile WILSON'S PHALAROPE was near Brownsville July 16, and a
MOCKINGBIRD was heard calling July 19 near 10th. and Harrison Streets in
Corvallis.

On July 17 a breeding plumaged PACIFIC LOON was on Lamolo Lake at the
headwaters of the Umpqua River in the Cascades east of Roseburg. A
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER was at the Prineville Sewage Ponds July 16. A SOLITARY
