Sightings for Thursday, July 22nd
A female CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD was seen at the Cypress Bowl ski area, just
past the first chair lift.

A singing male LAZULI BUNTING was observed in trees near the intersection
of Eastern Dr. and Klassen Place in Port Coquitlam.

Wednesday, July 21
The LITTLE GULL was reported from Iona Bay.

Tuesday, July 20
Four BULLOCK'S ORIOLE were seen on Nicholine Dr. in south Surrey.

Amongst many seabirds feeding off Point Robert's Lily Point, were 12+
RHINOCEROUS AUKLETS.

Monday, July 19
The AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN seen from the Robert's Bank Jetty.

Highlight birds reported from the Iona were 5 SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, 6
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, a STILT SANDPIPER and a PEREGRINE FALCON.

From Sea Island on the dike west of MacDonald Beach was a GREEN HERON and a
TURKEY VULTURE.

A GREEN HERON was reported near 144th and 108th in north Surrey.

Three BLACK SWIFTS were seen near King George Hwy. And 24th in south
Surrey.

July 18
A pair of MUTE SWANS were seen with 2 young on Grant Narrows Regional
Parks, Katzie Marsh. Also seen at the park were 3 EASTERN KINGBIRDS and 2
BULLOCK'S ORIOLES. Another BULLOCK'S ORIOLE was spotted in the grove of
trees south of the park.

Three BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were seen near the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.

Between 96th & 88th on the Boundary Bay dikes were 25 SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPERS.

July 17
The AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was reported from its usual location off the
Robert's Bank Jetty.

The LITTLE GULL was seen in Iona Bay. A HEERMAN'S GULL was seen from the
tip of the Iona Jetty.

A GREEN HERON was observed on Sea Island east of Airport gate 4A.

A RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was reported from the Reifel Refuge.

A pair of CRESTED MYNAS were at Wylie & 2nd in Vancouver. This has been a
very reliable location for anyone wishing to locate this species.

July 16th
Six BLACK TURNSTONE were seen near the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.

A TURKEY VULTURE was reported soaring over Horseshoe Bay.
