Let me get this straight... a couple of thoughtful comments about the status
and distribution of birds in Washington state is ridiculed as meaningless
philosophy, while we're trying to come up with the number of states that
have selected Cardinals for their state bird?

By the way, I also have mounted and framed that very cool set of State
bird/flower stamps ;-)
