Subject: Strange happenings

A funny thing happened to me on the way to the Forum. F'r'instance. A
Willow Flycatcher wound up in one of my Seth Low Figure 8 banding traps
placed on the ground and which was baited with proso millet. In June a
female Western Bluebird did the same at another such banding trap. Both
are primarily insectivorous. I've banded some in other years using mist
nets.It finally dawned on me that El Nino was the cause. Nah, must have
been La Nina, by cracky! Maybe the Atom Bomb!

Some of the rather unusual things that happen when you band. Brings up a
question. Have any of you had Bluebirds or Flycatchers come to your
feeders for seeds? I'm curious about this behavior..
