Dear Tweeters,
This morning at 4:18 am I heard our violet green swallow doing its dawn song.
Despite having these birds as tenants for three years now in Rainier Audubon
Society-made boxes I never heard or realized they did this, and yet right
after it was mentioned on tweeters, I heard it and understood, more or less,
what I was hearing. Hooray for Tweeters.

By the way, both swallows appear to be struggling badly with the weather this
year. I put out mud in a big shallow box for the barn swallows and they are
sure using it.

Another thing: I appreciate the points everyone is making but feel like we
should mind what dad says and be nice to each other.
