I am one of the lucky people who had the good fortune of raising a crow from
a totally helpless patially fledged nestling to free flying adulthood.

My crow spent endless hours making what we referred to as "jungle sounds".
His huge sound repertoir ranged from soft murmurs, peeps and whistles to
ear splitting castanets although most of the sounds were too soft to be
heard from any distance.
