You know, it sure seems like it's been crummy weather the past couple of
months (I followed the local high school baseball team and can't remember
more than a couple of games in warm weather), but the rainfall data from
the Olympia Airport indicate that there was less rainfall in April and
May this than any year in the prior six, at least.

Unfortunately, the frogs I am monitoring responded to a very wet winter
and laid most of their eggs in shallow pools that were destined to dry
up. In a normal April/May rainfall year they might have been relatively
successful but this year was awful for survival of tadpoles.
