They are available (exclusively, as far as I know) at USFS district ranger
stations such as the ones at North Bend and Enumclaw. The station at
Snoqualmie Pass visitor center has weekend hours. By all means, buy one if
you plan to park in National Forests near trailheads, or even if you don't.
This is about the only way right now that we can show our support for trail
maintenance and other improvements to USFS infrastructure and policies that
favor our types of forest uses. USFS budgets are in serious decline, and
guess whose interests get cut out first?
