I have a sick female Housefinch hanging around in my yard. She looks like
she's got Chlamydia in her eye (one is completely closed) and she's missing
feathers and can barely fly. I actually caught her (it's pretty easy when
they are so sick). I know one of the neighbor cats will get her eventually
if she makes it through the night. I was going to put her out of her
misery, but I couldn't bring myself to do it and she fluttered away. Any
suggestions? Will PAWS take these little wascals in and try and help them?
It's just heartbreaking to watch her decline day by day. I'm a whimp when
it comes to letting nature take its course in these matters. And I know
natural selection keeps the population strong, just look as us humans to see
the other side of that story.
