I just took a drive to scope out some possible areas and decided to go by
the Columbia Wildlife Refuge near the Potholes State Park in Washington.
While there I noticed that the gate was closed and chained. A list of rules
were avialable but they all releated to fishing. Does anybody know if the
refuge is ever open for birding and bird photography. The roads look like
they will take you fairly close to the ponds, if you can get in.
