Paul and others interested in the CWA. There are a few roads blocked off,
however they are open for foot travel. It is a great area for birding. I
camped there over the Memorial Day weekend. There are lots of camping areas,
the "roughing it type", only a few pit toilets available, they are clean and
of the "no smell" variety! Few other amenities. I had about 70 species of
birds including Great Egret, many Black-crowned Night-herons at dusk,LB
Curlew, Common Nighthawk, Common Poorwill along with many types of duck,
Avocet, Stilt and other central Washington birds. There are few
rattlesnakes, first hand experience, so watch where you plant your feet. It
is a fun and beautiful 4800 acres.
