Hi Maureen and Tweets,

My bluebird trail is on Swauk Prairie, east of Cle Elum. When I have
wrens, occasionally, it's usually in one of the boxes near a few trees or a
copse rather than on a fencepost. I wouldn't think of taking their eggs or
discouraging them, quite frankly. They have not seemed to be any problem
in this area; besides I don't see house wrens where I live.

Also, occasionally violet-green swallows use one of the fencepost nests,
but again there seems to be no real competition. There are remnants of an
old bluebird trail, interspersed with mine, and it seems there is plenty of
room for all. At least the past few years.

Cheers, Diann
