While gardening and when I have the hose out, the local vg's seem to
magically turn up, I spray up into the branches of the birch trees and the
vg's swarm by "hoovering "up any critters flying out from the water, the
vg's seem to like playing"made ya duck" as they sometimes swoop right next
to my face. Ma and Pa robin and Jr. show up, to drink the "fresh" water and
to wait for the worms to come out. I also saved Jr. from a cat attack thru
use of the hose on the tabby. Wet cats lose interest fast! One harried
female English sparrow would perch on the trowel in my hand, grabbing
whatever I dug up , whisk it to the nest and fly right back....welll I wish
it were another type of bird, but she did off a lot of cut worms!
