Hello everybody....about a month ago I was sitting by my living room window
and noticed a big brown rat sitting underneath my five bird feeders on my
patio. It was in the middle of the day and thought it was kind of unusual.
Anyways, I didn't give it much thought until it became a daily occurence and
noticed the rat was bringing a friend. What I did was set up one of those
shining pinwheels (they're my daughters) next to the area where birdseed
seems to accumulate and also moved my 'owl decoy' and put it on the ground
next to the 'feeding area'. Like I mentioned, the rats were coming everyday
for approximately three weeks and since I set the pinwheel and bubo on the
ground, I haven't seen the crazy ole rats since. Pretty simple remedy at
